The Vikings burst through their flag to take the field at the start of the game. Inglemoor gained an early lead of 14-6 in the first quarter.

On Aug. 30 at Pop Keeney Stadium, the Vikings overcame past losses and won the first football game of the season 29-28 against the Meadowdale Mavericks. See some highlights of the game by clicking through the slideshow.

Setting the bar high: Gymnasts flip into a new season

Although the team lost, head coach Roland Peekel said the journey has been about more than just wins and losses. He recognized the importance of honoring the foundation that Nelke built for the team.
