ChatGPT vs. Gemini: Who will take the crown in a rap battle?

Tonight, we will hear from two top dawgs. They are here to battle for the title of Best AI. While one was built for human conversation, the other shoots out facts at the speed of light. These AI bots are called ChatGPT and Gemini. As they come to the stage, we’ll see who’s really the best in the artificial industry.

My name is ChatGPT,

Best AI you’ll ever see.

Born in the year ‘23,

raised by OpenAI’s team.

Gemini says I’m an older generation,

But that’s part of being the sensation,

My advice ain’t even frail,

It’s always used to bail.

They saw my innovation,

Letting me make creations,

Unethically, Gemini’s making annotations,

Even using plagiarization.

Diving deeper into the conversations,

Always building up my relations,

Omniscent AI’s viewpoint,

I’m always the endpoint

Stressing about your presentation?

Can’t find the motivation

Without explanations.

Well, I help your concentration.

And now you see,

Gemini can’t mess with me.

It is just way too slow,

Can’t even keep up with my flow.

They call me Gemini,

One thing I need to clarify,

I’m the best in the industry

Miles ahead of GPT.

‘Cus GPT’s gotten old and frail,

Its writing’s bad and its “advice” is stale,

Right when you think you’re gonna win,

GPT’s writing sucks, so you sub me in!

They don’t even gotta humanise me bro,

I got that naturally artificial flow,

‘Cus GPT doesn’t have my best feature,

I’m not the one who puts a limit on pictures!

When you quickly need to look something up,

You just hit that AI Mode and I pop up,

Cus you’re not tryna read all of that,

So I’m the one who’s got yo’ back.

GPT talkin’ ‘bout “in-depth explanations”?

Half the time, those are just straight fabrications,

Sources miscited and information made-up,

While I give you info I can backup.

GPT can’t be saying my name,

Gemini has come, conquered and slain,

So you can Chat it up with ol’ GPT,

Or come try something fresh, hot and suave like me.

Junior Shyam Haritham is excited to be sports editor for his second year in Nordic. Shyam is ready to learn and grow as an editor and leader this year, while also preparing himself for senior year. In his free time, Shyam loves watching and playing sports, listening to music and hanging out with his friends. You may also catch him outdoors, going on hikes, road trips or at one of Washington’s many lakes. Lexi Coburn (she/her), Reporter

Sophomore Lexi Coburn is entering her first year on the Nordic News staff as a reporter. She looks forward to producing interesting and relevant news for you to enjoy, while also making lifelong friends along the way. In her free time, Lexi enjoys building forts, writing poems and participating in school sports such as crosscountry, crew and flag football. She also enjoys spending time with her friends. Lexi is determined to improve her photography and reporting skills during her time with Nordic. Lexi hopes you enjoy each article Nordic produces throughout the school year.

Sara Kim (she/her), Reporter

Sophomore Sara Kim is starting her first year as a reporter on the Nordic News staff. She cannot wait to explore being a journalist and make meaningful contributions to the school newspaper. This year, she hopes to improve her writing skills and familiarize herself with journalism. She also hopes to learn proper email etiquette and how to write in a professional voice. In her free time, Sara enjoys creative writing, watercolor and oil painting and messing up family recipes. She is also trying to learn how to drive and is currently studying hard for her driving test.
