About the Contributors

Camille Pierce (she/her), Managing Editor
Senior Camille Pierce is the Managing Editor of Nordic News for the 2024-25 school year. In her third year on staff, she’s excited to continue covering engaging topics around the Kenmore area and improve her photography and editing skills. Camille is a member of various clubs and sports at Inglemoor, her favorites being swim team, girls flag football, Students for Animal Rights Awareness and Girls Who Code. In her spare time, Camille enjoys organizing her emails, taking pictures of her cats and pretending to be a film snob on Letterboxd.

Iris Huang (she/her), Co-Design Editor
Junior Iris Huang is so excited to return for her third year in Nordic News as Co-Design Editor. She hopes to continue writing insightful articles along with creating eye-catching layouts and stunning graphics. Iris is also one of the captains for the IHS swim team, one of the directors of marketing for FBLA; she also works part time for Seattle Badminton Club. In her free time, she’ll probably be taking an excessively long nap or window shopping on sketchy online sites.

Elsa Wang (she/her), Reporter
Sophomore Elsa Wang is excited to join Nordic for her first year as a reporter! This year, she hopes to learn about and engage with the world of media and journalism, as well as find her place in this community. Her specialties include drawing, painting, spending way too much time designing graphics that are visually appealing (to the point where not a single pixel is unaligned) and cuddling with her cats. Elsa also plays the piano and likes to read interesting books.

Ava Hedin (she/her), Co-Business Manager, PR Team
Senior Ava Hedin is excited to begin her second and final year on the 2024-25 Nordic News staff as Co-Business Manager and a member of the PR Team. She hopes to improve her writing and design skills while engaging readers through articles she writes. Outside of school, Ava spends the majority of her free time rowing for the Inglemoor Crew Team and volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium. Although her schedule is pretty packed, she still finds time to be creative, get sweet treats with her friends, and listen to Clairo.
