About the Contributors

Camille Pierce (she/her), Managing Editor
Senior Camille Pierce is the Managing Editor of Nordic News for the 2024-25 school year. In her third year on staff, she’s excited to continue covering engaging topics around the Kenmore area and improve her photography and editing skills. Camille is a member of various clubs and sports at Inglemoor, her favorites being swim team, girls flag football, Students for Animal Rights Awareness and Girls Who Code. In her spare time, Camille enjoys organizing her emails, taking pictures of her cats and pretending to be a film snob on Letterboxd.

Iris Huang (she/her), Co-Editor-in-Chief
Senior Iris Huang is more than ready to jump into her fourth year on staff as co-editor-in-chief! With such a large incoming staff, she is excited to see what new perspectives, voices and personalities this year’s reporters will bring. This year, Iris hopes to not only continue publishing amazing articles, but to also increase engagement in other Nordic projects, like our podcast, website and literary magazine. Outside of school, she enjoys swimming as captain of the school’s swim & dive team, getting super buff at the gym, crying about the whole $2 sitting in her bank account and taking excruciatingly long naps.

Elsa Wang (she/her), Design Editor
Back for her second year on the Nordic Staff, junior Elsa Wang is eager to continue exploring and growing as a journalist, this time as design editor! She hopes to increase student engagement and encourage bold, new and vibrant designs. If encountered in the wild, you might find her frantically scribbling in her sketchbook before a new idea has the chance to escape her, stargazing in the middle of nowhere at slightly absurd hours and reading thought-provoking books with her two adorable cats by her side.

Ava Hedin (she/her), Co-Business Manager, PR Team
Senior Ava Hedin is excited to begin her second and final year on the 2024-25 Nordic News staff as Co-Business Manager and a member of the PR Team. She hopes to improve her writing and design skills while engaging readers through articles she writes. Outside of school, Ava spends the majority of her free time rowing for the Inglemoor Crew Team and volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium. Although her schedule is pretty packed, she still finds time to be creative, get sweet treats with her friends, and listen to Clairo.
